LOL Yeah Palin spoke in Calgary today to a reportedly sold out crowd of about 1200. According to CTV News, there were 'just three protestors'. Pamela Wallin did a question/answer period with Palin afterwards.
Sarah Palin is a joke in the US and a non-entity in Canada. 1200 tickets in a city of 1.2 million is nothing. Bill Clinton attracted 16,000 at a dinner in Calgary. Even Ed Stelmach attracts 3600 to a Con fundraising dinner.
lol... 3 protestors in a city of 1.2 million. Thanks for reminding me of that.
My post was not about how many tickets anyone else has sold, although I think you might need to check out that 16,000 Clinton stat. I've heard that he has made 3 trips to Calgary - one time was a charity dinner shortly after 9/11, another he was speaking about Global Warming to a seminar of 5000, and I'm not sure about the other - I believe it was in 2008 for the Power Within events. But I just got my info from the news so who knows if it is correct. 16,000 to a 'dinner' sounds a bit off to me, but I will stand corrected if you can provide a solid link.
Perhaps this non-entity woman did not expect a soldout crowd and picked a smaller venue. But despite all that, 3 lonely dudes wandering around outside gave me a little chuckle. Why not?
These are my views and opinions. If you don't agree or think I am sadly misguided, that is your view. Feel free to share your thoughts but I also reserve my right to moderate content (IE foul language, excessive flaming, etc).
What were they protesting? Is that Sarah Palin? They should start a Facebook page.
